Default What year is your favorite?

My very first Pontiac back in 1972 was an auto column shift GTO. I have owned at least 20 GTO's over the years most being 70 model cars including a 70 RAIV auto Judge. But I have always loved the 69 goats and think they are my favorite - maybe I will get one someday.

You will make power with CV-1 heads if you stop thinking of them as a 'Pontiac' head and think of them as a head on a Pontiac block

Being a few years older than you, my first Pontiac was a white '61 Boneville convertable that I got in '63, then, in '65 I bought a project '63 LeMans that I drove on the street and raced until I rolled it at the strip in 1989. Then I bought the '64 that I still have. As far as favorites, for a driver, I would like to have either a 57 or a '59. Of the GTOs, I like the '64 and '65s best, but the '69 is also very appealing. There is something about it that just looks mean.
I'm glad to see this site is showing some life again.

Thanks Bill for sticking with us, just took me some time to get back into the saddle again after a very heavy family problem. Glad to see you here.

Between the 68-73 years, the 1969 GTO is my favorite. Right before I bought my first 1967 GTO, a neighbor had a yellow 69 GTO, 400 ci, with black interior I thought it was awesome.
